From laundry mat to laundry mat
by donny inabout three years ago, i was walking past a local laundry mat and i noticed some of the society s publications laying on the chairs by the window.
so i walked inside and found an awake from 1995 and a watchtower from 1989. the latter one was funny to me because i was still in the organization when it was released.
i couldnt help but be shocked at how old these magazines were.

when I was in, I was very reluctant to discard extra magazines unless they were damaged in some way. After spending several months in my service bag, some would be a little dog eared and rumpled, and I would trow those away. But pristine copies lived a long and boring life on my bookshelf, until I finally broke free from the borg. Then every last bit of literature eventually found its way to the garbage can.

if they ever get around to DFing me, it'll have to be for apostacy - I haven't done anything else that would earn me so much as a private reproof LOL. However, I'm not making it easy for them to catch up with me - I don't answer the phone, and my phone doesn't receive text messages. I don't think they even have my current email address.
